"WHY"
We don't need to be like the rest of the world because
we have something that the rest of world don't have.
Why would you waste your time on stuff you know
wouldn't satisfy you? We do this a
lot in the world today.
We should be doing things that do satisfy us through
Jesus - Only the Lord can satisfy you!
Isaiah 55:1-3 (New International Version)
Invitation to the Thirsty
1 "Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not
satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what
is good,
and your soul will delight in the
richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
hear me, that your soul may live.
I will make an everlasting
covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to
David.
Isaiah 55 asks the question why do we labor and spend
on what is not satisfying... we do this on ALL sorts of things...
Jesus Christ offers that which satisfies us. If you know going into it, it won't
turn out right but you still do it...
WHY?
55:2 = Listen to me, and eat what is good, and your
soul will delight in the richest of fare.
God will give you what will satisfy your soul. we need to put the time / effort /
energy into what is satisfying!!!
WHY waste our days on what does not satisfy us...
